In 2016 two GABA teams qualified for the 2016 U/14 Australian Nationals which were played in Newcastle in September that year.
This was the first time that any country team from WA had qualified for this competition – a huge achievement for two country teams.

1986
1986 – During the Christmas break three matches were played against the visiting USS Brewton. All games were well worth watching with our boys successful in all three.
The first saw Geraldton 99 defeat Brewton 88. High scorers were Bruce Winfield (20), Trevor Rowland (18), Bruce Gillingham (17), Lindsay Greatorex (16) and Mark Middleton (14)
The next night saw a final scoreline of 87 – 67 with again Winfield high with 24, Nigel Swarbrick 14, Trevor Rowland 13 and Aaron Ducas 9.
The final game saw both veterans teams lock horns, with our lads again successful 52 – 28. Best scorers were Les Nixon on 13, Kevin Jones 11, and Jack Knudson 10.
